Tikkurila Helmi Primer is a premium water-based acrylic primer developed for preparing interior wood, trim and furniture surfaces before painting. It provides strong adhesion and high opacity, helping to create a uniform base for topcoat paints.

The primer is ideal for both new and previously painted surfaces, sealing the substrate and reducing uneven absorption. This ensures improved coverage and a smoother finish when applying topcoats such as Tikkurila Helmi 30 or Helmi 10.

Helmi Primer is also low odour and environmentally friendly, with certifications including M1 and Nordic Swan, making it suitable for use in homes, including children’s furniture.
