Description

Barrettine Timber / Cladding Cut End Preserver is a high-performance wood preservative specifically formulated to treat exposed end grain on pressure-treated timber and cladding. When timber is cut, drilled or notched, the untreated inner wood becomes vulnerable to moisture ingress and decay. This specialist treatment helps restore protection to these exposed areas.

Why use a Cut End Preserver?

Cutting or drilling pressure-treated timber exposes untreated wood, creating a weak point where moisture and fungal attack can occur.

Barrettine Cut End Preserver:

  • Deeply penetrates exposed end grain
  • Helps prevent wet rot and fungal decay
  • Protects against wood-boring insect attack
  • Provides excellent water repellency
  • Helps extend the lifespan of timber installations

👉 Essential for maintaining warranties and extending the life of exterior timber projects.

Suitable for:

  • Timber cladding
  • Decking boards
  • Fence posts
  • Sleepers
